Leading casino operator LeoVegas has recently expanded its portfolio with the launch of its new bingo category on its mobile app. This Swedish operator was founded in 2011 and since then has developed an extensive portfolio of verticals.
Players will be able to access bingo on the existing LeoVegas mobile app which is available for download on Android and iOS devices. Bingo can also be played on the desktop version of LeoVegas if required.
LeoVegas Group CEO Gustaf Hagman said of the launch: “Today we have a broader and larger customer base than ever before, and it is growing strongly. To meet the growing demand for entertaining games we are now launching Bingo, a social, simple and fun game for people in all target groups”
Stepping into the bingo market
Over recent years, many operators have moved away from bingo in favour of advanced slot games and eSports offerings. However, this recent move by LeoVegas indicates that the bingo market still has potential and shouldn’t be ignored by affiliates. According to reports, the UK bingo market generated over 1bn GBP in revenue between 2018 and 2019. This came mostly from main stage bingo but there were other contributing factors.
With many bingo halls across the UK and Europe being forced to close throughout the pandemic, a shift to online bingo has been evident. With LeoVegas leading the way, it is expected that other operators will soon follow suit.
